After the trial you can continue the course on a weekly basis for £100 per week. We will also offer you an option to save 30% by paying monthly (£303 per month).
The lessons are delivered as online video calls via Zoom, making it easy for your child to learn to code wherever in the world you are. Based on the trial, we and you will know exactly, where your child should start. Then, the course progresses at your child’s pace - our tutor will slow down to explain more difficult topics and speed up, when your child feels confident with a certain area of learning. While booking the trial and actual course, you can select the day and time that best suits your schedule. If you cannot find one, please get in touch.
Lessons can be booked on an ad hoc basis (at the cost of £100 per lesson) or in blocks (at the cost of £70 per lesson). We will contact you to discuss the options and the payment schedule to suit your needs.
Age Groups
Our Python term-time weekly online course is divided into two separate age groups:
A group aimed at 10-13 year-olds
A group aimed at 14+ year-olds
The boundaries between the age groups are not firmly defined. Instead, we try to best match course material with children. This gives our tutors greater flexibility.
Python Knowledge Levels
We divide our curriculum into 6 distinct Python knowledge levels:
Level 1 - no prior knowledge of Python. In this online course, we’ll cover all the basic introductory knowledge that your child will need to progress swiftly to later levels. For instance, we’ll start with the basics of Python turtle. This course content follows closely the country’s curriculum, which will reinforce your child’s knowledge or give them a head start in their computing classes.
Levels 2 - 4 - varying degree of Python knowledge; from using simple turtle graphics to complex structures using conditionals, loops, variables, objects and various Python libraries. These levels will help solidify the foundations needed for later complex applications such as using a PyGame library or anything else that your child may be interested in making.
Level 5+ - at this stage course participants know most of Python syntax. They are able to code most of simple applications and games. At this stage our focus shifts to algorithms and data structures to give your child a more complex and logical understanding of programming contexts. At level 6 we’ll cover advanced concepts like an introduction to object-oriented programming, classes and the basic principles behind it in Python.
We tailor our online course to the needs of each child while keeping existing knowledge alive by reapplying it in new programming contexts. We aim to progress children from level to level approximately every term. As they reach level 5 our focus changes. We start with an introduction to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. Once children are comfortable with this aspect of computer programming, we move on to discussing, developing and applying to real problems most common algorithms from classical computer science space. As there is no end to computing skills, so there is no end to our online course - there is always the next level - the next piece of knowledge to acquire.
As students get more confident with their coding skills, often they arrive at the lesson with their own project they were trying to do and got stuck. This is a great opportunity to teach and our tutors happily jump on the task and work together to make sure the obstacle is overcome and the student acquired all the required knowledge to proceed with their favourite project.

OUR TUTORS MAKE IT A PERSONALIZED, EXCITING AND VALUABLE EXPERIENCE
Our experienced tutors will tailor our best in the industry curriculum to suit all students participating in the online course. One-to-one private tuition provide personalized instruction that helps students progress at their own pace while being appropriately challenged. Here, at Educademy, we believe it’s more important to ensure every student reaches a good level of understanding than to cover all the topics scheduled for the lesson.
Why Python?
“Python has been an important part of Google since the beginning, and remains so as the system grows and evolves. Today, dozens of Google engineers use Python, and we’re always looking for more people with more skills in the language.” -Peter Norvig, Google
Our Python term-time online course is the ideal way to introduce and deepen text-based programming language knowledge. There are several reasons to learn Python:
A headstart to university courses. Its popularity with universities doesn’t seem to wane.
Most popular programming language according to o an IEEE survey. A straightforward path to future industries.
Easy to use, powerful and versatile - a great choice for beginners and experts alike.
Beginner-friendly - an easy to learn first programming language.
What do we cover?
Each week, we’ll cover something different. Each lesson, your child will gain different skills in Python. Each child will have the lesson tailored to their specific needs. One of Educademy’s main beliefs is that no child is left behind. We’ll make sure that your child comes out of every lesson understanding something new.
Starting with Level 1, we’ll cover computer-based logic such as if-else statements, while loops and other concepts in a fun and interactive way. We’ll develop cool projects like a digital clock, some visual patterns like drawing a starry sky and the introduction of different libraries. Whether someone is more of a visual learner, we’ll provide for them through the usage of the Python Turtle or if your child prefers thinking logically, we’ll help them develop their problem solving skills step by step through some challenges.
As participants progress from level to level, we prepare a new set of interesting tasks and projects. Through these participants learn new computational concepts and discover more advanced syntax and features of most popular Python libraries. We introduce our students to first functional, then module based and eventually object-oriented programming. We leave no stone unturned, covering even Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at higher levels of our online course.
We encourage best practices, like experimenting and iterating, testing and debugging, reusing and remixing, abstracting and modularizing. All of it packaged in an attractive set of application and game projects and challenges. By the end of this course, our students will gain an intuitive approach to advanced Computer Science problems, regardless of the programming language.
Our revolutionary teaching methodology allows students to start coding from the very beginning of the lesson. Lectures (sometimes called tutorials) are proven to be an ineffective way of transferring, and more importantly retaining knowledge. Instead, the Educademy method relies on a series of small, tutor-led exercises. Our learners memorize the course material quickly because they’ve already done it. We then reinforce the understanding, asking each student to experiment on their own, creating unique code structures. Our tutors are always there, just in case the experiment does not go to the plan.
LEARN PYTHON - LEARN COMPUTER SCIENCE
Python, while easy to use, is incredibly powerful — there’s a reason companies like Google, Dropbox, Spotify, and Netflix use it. Python is great for rapid prototyping and iteration. It can be used for a wide variety of applications, and as our students learn the basics of Python, they’ll soon be able to create almost anything they want. Perhaps they’re interested in making a game? Perhaps a graphical user interface for their own project needs? Perhaps they’re more interested in learning the theory behind machine learning? Or just want to improve their own knowledge? Rest assured that with all of our courses, we tailor the course content to the individual’s own interests in order to give them the skills that they may need.
We make the study of Python fun by carefully selecting tasks and projects suitable for every knowledge level. We strike a delicate balance between making the coding interesting, challenging and well understood at the same time. Our Python one-on-one online course uses an example-based approach to guide our students through core computing concepts. While having a great time, our learners gain a strong foundation in Python and general Computer Science through whatever projects that your child may be interested in.
FUN AND SENSE OF ACHIEVEMENT
At the core of our approach is the understanding that children learn the most though fun. At Educademy we ensure that each lesson is engaging and entertaining. We ensure every student comes out of it with an enormous sense of achievement. To us, children and their creations are at the centre of the online course.
THERE IS MORE TO THAT THAN CODING
No doubt computer programming is going to be the most important skill of the 21st century. When children learn to code in Python, they also learn important strategies for solving problems, designing projects, and communicating ideas.
Educademy’s mission is to create a lasting positive outcome. Deep in children’s minds we plant a feeling that they can create wonderful programs. They learn to overcome challenges. They know they can and will succeed in the very field of Computer Science. Equipped with that feeling they are able to face challenges in other areas of their education and future life. They already know they are really good at something. It’s only a matter of time they’ll replicate this success in other areas.
